Argabright Snags Third A-10 Rookie of the Week Honor

RICHMOND, Va. — Spiders guard Aiden Argabright has been named Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week, the conference announced Monday. Argabright averaged 17 points. 2.5 assists, and two steals while shooting 5-8 from three-point range in a pair of games last week. Argabright was also named A-10 Rookie of the Week on November 24 and December 8. He is the first Spider to win the award three times since Grant Golden in 2017-18.

Argabright came off bench to lead the Spiders with 20 points vs Rhode Island Wednesday, the most by a true freshman at UR since Jake Wojcik scored 22 on Dec. 29, 2018 at South Alabama. Saturday at George Washington, Argabright made his first career start and contributed 14 points, second most among Spiders.

Argabright and VCU's Nyk Lewis, who has also won the award three times, are the only players to win multiple A-10 Rookie of the Week honors this season.

Argabright leads all A-10 freshmen in points (10.8) and steals (1.3) per game, and leads the entire conference with 91 free throws. Argabright and the Spiders will visit VCU for the Richmond Area Honda Dealers Capital City Classic Tuesday at 7 PM on CBS Sports Network.
