NORFOLK, Va. – The University of Richmond men's tennis team dropped a 6-1 decision on the road at Old Dominion Monarchs on Friday afternoon. The loss moves the Spiders to 0-2 on the spring season, while ODU improved to 3-2.

How It Happened
Old Dominion grabbed the early advantage by claiming the doubles point, earning wins on courts one and three. Cole Brashear and Davis Wiley fell 6-2 on court one, while Charlie Burdell and Grant Cohen dropped a 6-2 decision on court three. The court two doubles match was left unfinished.

In singles play, Richmond earned its lone point on court two, where Charlie Burdell battled back after dropping the opening set to defeat Zech Hamrouni, 6-7, 6-4, 10-8. Matches on courts three through six went in favor of the Monarchs to clinch the contest, while the court one match between Davis Wiley and Adam Majchrzak was stopped before completion.
