Spider Field Hockey Adds Louisville Grad Transfer Luciana Carpenter

RICHMOND, Va. – Richmond field hockey Head Coach Martu Loncarica has announced the addition of graduate transfer Luciana Carpenter for the fall 2026 season. Carpenter joins Elen Nichols (Indiana) and Leah Horwitz (Maryland) as grad transfers for the fall season.
Carpenter, a native of Green Lane, Penn., was a key member of the University of Louisville defensive line for three seasons, appearing in 37 career games while making 16 starts. Carpenter tallied an assist against Michigan State, helping the Cardinals kick off the 2025 season with a dominate 6-1 victory over the Spartans.
Carpenter helped the Cardinals reach the semifinals of the ACC Championship and the quarterfinals of the NCAA tournament in 2023. She is also a two-time NFHCA Academic Squad selection.
