Magnano found Freya MacKay for the stick stop and set up for Larripa to fire it into the back of the net.

Magnano kept the Spiders scoring going in the first quarter, tallying her second of the quarter in the 14^th minute. Valen Luna Paratore sent the ball into the circle from the 25 and Magnano was able to settle the pass and draw the keeper out of position for the score. Larripa tallied her second goal just 40 seconds into the second quarter. She got the ball mid-stride near the 25, drove past multiple Explorers trying to get back on defense and hit the fade away shot into the top corner.

Luna Paratore picked up her third goal of the season to capitalize on a forced turnover by La Salle. Strong sideline pressure by Reese Miller and Avery Russell forced an errant La Salle pass that was settled by Lillian Buckwalter. Buckwalter sent in a pass to Luna Paratore, who snuck behind a defender and got the spin move power goal.

Richmond took a 5-0 lead into the half, with a 15-to-5 advantage in shots and 3-to-2 in penalty corners. Richmond goalkeeper Amanda Cimillo made four of her five saves in the first half.

The Explorers were able to hold the Spiders off the scoreboard in the third quarter, but UR was still able to get off 10 shots and earn five penalty corners.
