Larripa Collects Fourth A10 Weekly Honor

WASHINGTON, DC – Richmond field hockey's Clara Larripa has been named Atlantic 10 Conference Offensive Player of the Week for the fourth time this season. Larripa also garnered the weekly honor on August 31, as well as September 8 and 21.
In the Spiders 8-1 victory over La Salle in A10 action Friday evening at Crenshaw Field, Larripa tallied her fourth hat trick of the season and first four-goal game. Her second goal against the Explorers also made ESPN SportsCenter Top 10 at number 10. Watch here.
The four scores gave her 16 goals on the year in 10 games to lead the nation in total goals scored. Nationally, Larripa first in goals per game (1.45), and second in points per game (3.18) and total points (35 pts, 16 goals, three assists).
Richmond, 7-4 on the year and 2-1 league action, is also second in points per game (11.45), third in goals per game (4.00) and scoring average (4.07), as well as fifth in penalty corners per game (8.36).
The Spiders are back in action Friday, Oct. 9 at Saint Louis. The A10 contest will take place at 3 PM ET.
