03/17/2026 | Men's Lacrosse
Richmond, Va.— University of Richmond lacrosse goalie Connor Knight has been named to the USILA Team of the Week, marking the fourth consecutive week a Spider has earned the prestigious national honor.
Knight anchored Richmond's defense in the Spiders' 17–5 Atlantic 10 opening win over Delaware, making eight saves while adding two caused turnovers and three ground balls. He helped hold the Blue Hens to just one goal through the first three quarters. Knight also recorded his first career point with an assist, picking off a Delaware clear and delivering a long pass that led directly to Aidan O'Neil's 100th career goal.
He matched his highest save percentage of the season (.667) and currently ranks sixth nationally in save percentage (.592) and third in goals against average (7.53). Knight is a key part of the nation's fourth-best scoring defense, which is allowing just 8.00 goals per game. The Spiders also own the second-highest scoring margin in the NCAA, outscoring opponents by an average of 6.67 goals per game, and are one of just five undefeated teams remaining in the country.
Knight and the Spiders travel to RV UMass Saturday.
