Doogan Earns USBWA All-America Honorable Mention Honors

RICHMOND, Va. – University of Richmond women's basketball standout Maggie Doogan has been named an honorable mention selection to the 2025-26 U.S. Basketball Writers Association Women's All-America Team, the organization announced Tuesday.
Doogan becomes one of 25 players nationally recognized by the USBWA and represents the Atlantic 10 Conference as its Player of the Year. She is one of six conference players of the year included across the three All-America teams and honorable mention selections.
A senior forward from Broomall, Pa., Doogan delivered one of the most complete seasons in program history, averaging 21.0 points, 7.8 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game while shooting 50.3 percent from the field, 40.2 percent from three-point range and 89.2 percent from the free throw line. She ranks 14th nationally in scoring and leads the Atlantic 10 in total points (692) and field goals made (240).
Doogan's impact extended across the stat sheet, as she also recorded 36 blocks and 31 steals while logging more than 34 minutes per game. She finished the regular season ranked among the conference leaders in scoring, rebounding, assists and field goal percentage.
Her season was highlighted by a historic 48-point performance against Davidson on Jan. 10, the highest single-game scoring output in NCAA Division I this season and proke the prograsm and conference record for most points in a game. She also posted multiple 30-point games and recorded a 35-point outing at Saint Joseph's to conclude conference play, going a perfect 14-for-14 from the free throw line.
Doogan has recorded 2,114 points, good for second all-time at Richmond. She joins South Dakota State's Brooklyn Meyer as the only mid-major conference players recognized among the USBWA All-America selections.
The USBWA Women's All-America Team, first established in 1987-88, is one of the most prestigious honors in college basketball and recognizes the top players across NCAA Division I.
