Lonsinger's Career Day Helps Boost No. 25 Richmond Past St. Bonaventure

Richmond, Va. — No. 25 Richmond used a decisive advantage in possession and draw controls to defeat St. Bonaventure, 19–6, on Saturday, improving to 8–2 overall and 5–0 in conference play while extending its winning streak to six games.
St. Bonaventure opened the scoring on a free-position goal, but Richmond responded with four consecutive goals, including two free-position scores from Rileigh Meyer and a player-up goal by Emma Kroneberger. After the Bonnies closed the first quarter with two late goals to make it 4–3, Richmond took control in the second period.
The Spiders outscored St. Bonaventure 7–0 over the first 10 minutes of the second quarter, turning a one-goal game into an 11–3 lead. Bridget Lonsinger scored three times during that stretch, while Alexis Morton and Meghan Rode also added goals. Richmond continued to build its advantage in the second half, holding St. Bonaventure to three goals over the final two quarters.
Richmond controlled possession throughout, fueled by its performance in the draw circle. The Spiders consistently secured draw controls, led by Meghan Rode with 13 as Richmond dominated that category, holding a 21-6 advantage over the Bonnies.
Lonsinger led all players with a career-high seven points on four goals and three assists. Her four goals matched her career high, while her three assists set a new personal best. Morton finished with four goals, while Meyer recorded four points on three goals and one assist. Kroneberger added two goals, and Rode contributed two points on one goal and one assist.
Additional point contributors included Juliana Stanley (2 goals, 1 assist), Elizabeth Darcy (1 goal, 1 assist), Chloe Conti (1 assist), and Cece Lesperance (1 goal, 1 assist). Ella Grimes also scored once.
Defensively, Abby Francioli made five saves in the first half, while Maggie Mullen recorded one save and Ally Gouveia added one save in the second half. CC Jacobs led the team with two caused turnovers, while Mia Valerio added one. Ground balls were spread across the defense and midfield, with multiple players recording pickups throughout the game.
Richmond returns to action Monday, hosting South Florida at 11 a.m. at Robins Stadium.
