Richmond Ranked No. 25 in Week 5 IWLCA and ILWomen Polls

RICHMOND, Va. – On Monday, the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association and Inside Lacrosse released their Week 5 polls. A total of 25 teams are ranked, with votes based on weekly performances and results. Richmond checked in at No. 25 in both polls.

The Spiders hold a 4-2 record this season, with their only losses coming against ranked opponents. Richmond lost both games by a single goal to then-No. 24 Penn State, 10-9, and then-No. 23 Duke, 15-14, in overtime.

Last Saturday, the Spiders opened Atlantic 10 Conference play with a dominant 15-6 win over VCU at Cary Street Field.

Richmond is the only institution from the Atlantic 10 to appear in the poll this season.

The Spiders return to action Saturday, March 14, against Rhode Island at Robins Stadium for its One Love game.
