Winebrenner Named CSC Academic All-American

RICHMOND, Va. - Dylan Winebrenner has been named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-America Third Team for his efforts on the field and in classroom during the 2026 campaign as announced Tuesday by the organization.

Winebrenner joins infielder Brady O'Brien (first team, 2025) and catcher Drew Blakely (second team, 2021) in representing the University of Richmond for this academic honor.

Winebrenner, an Atlantic 10 All-First Team selection, led the Spiders offensively. The Frederick, MD native finished the season third in the league in slugging percentage (.645), sixth in home runs (16), batting average (.359) and on base percentage (.470), seventh in hits (78) and eighth in runs (60). He started in all 57 contests for Richmond, splitting time between first base, catcher and designated hitter.Â

Winebrenner was also named to the CSC Academic All-District Team and ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Division I All-Atlantic Region Second Team in earlier this month. He graduated in May with a Master of Liberal Arts degree.
