2011 (Senior): Appeared in 39 games in the field, earning 37 starts ... Also
pitched 17.1 innings on the year, making one start while totaling four saves,
second-most on the team ... Posted a .299 batting average, tied for second-best
on the team ... Totaled 12 multi-hit and seven multi-RBI games ... His six home
runs were also second best on the squad ... Collected 26 RBIs, five doubles,
and a triple, scoring 20 runs ... Went 4-for-5, reaching base six times at
Xavier on April 10, with a double and two runs scored ... In same game, threw
two scoreless innings, allowing just two hits, in earning his first win
of the season ... Pitched a season-high 3.1 innings against La Salle on May 1,
not surrendering a run while allowing just three hits.
2010
(Junior): Second Team All-Atlantic selection.... Among 25 players
nationwide to be named a quarterfinalist for the John Olerud Two-Player of the
Year Award... Barber was one of the most versatile threats in the Atlantic 10
in 2010... Led the league with a 23-game hitting streak mid-season... Led the
Spiders in both batting average (.372) and earned run average (2.56)... Posted
career-highs in doubles (17), RBI (49), stolen bases (17) and on-base
percentage (.475)... Was at his best with the game on the line as he collected
seven game-winning RBIs, and in six of those games he also picked up a pitching
decision (three wins, three saves)... His .372 average was Richmond's highest
single-season batting average since 2006... He started 51 games at either left
field or designated hitter and made 22 relief appearances... On the mound, he
posted a 5-3 record and four saves... Fired scoreless baseball in 13 of his 22
appearances.
2009
(Sophomore): Batted .278 with impressive power numbers -- 7 homers, 10
doubles and 29 RBI... Slugged .583 on the season along with his .400 on-base
percentage... Richmond was 17-12 in his 29 games as the designated hitter...
But proved his worth as a side-armed reliever by posting a team-best 5-1 record
in 17 appearances out of the bullpen... Fanned 17 against just six walks in
27.0 innings... Stole seven bases in eight attempts... In the series-opener
versus La Salle, he had two hits, two RBI and got the win in an 11-9
decision... Hit two homers in a 12-7 win over ODU... Came through with an eighth
inning RBI double to beat Bryant, 7-6.
2008
(Freshman): Louisville Slugger Freshman All-America selection becoming
the third-consecutive Spider to earn a spot on that team (Cameron Brown in 2006
and Matt Zielinski in 2007)... Atlantic 10 All-Rookie selection... VaSID
All-State selection... Finished the season batting .317 with eye-popping power
numbers for a freshman... He led the team in homers (13), RBI (45) and slugging
(.703) - ranking among the A-10 leaders in each... Went on a torrid mid-season
tear that saw him homer seven times in five-consecutive games... He drove in 21
runs in those five games... Won back-to-back A-10 Rookie of the Awards... Named
A-10 Player of the Week, Louisville Slugger National Player of the Week and
College Baseball Insider National Player of the Week on March 17... Tied his
career-high of five RBI in back-to-back wins over Charleston Southern and Old
Dominion... He homered twice in the final game of the CSU series, then roped
three doubles and a homer in the ODU game... Also saw action in 15 games (14.1
innings) on the mound and was 1-0 with a 6.91 ERA.

three varsity letters for coach Shawn Szakelyhidi at Colonial Forge ... Named
First Team All-Commonwealth District, First All-Northwest Region and Second
Team All-State following his junior season as he hit .514 with 36 hits in 70 at
bats ... Primarily a relief pitcher as a senior, finished with a 1.35 ERA and
seven saves while Colonial Forge won the Commonwealth District Championship,
the Northwest Regional Championship and a Virginia AAA State Quarterfinal berth
... Owns Colonial Forge school records both for season batting average (.514)
and hitting streaks (15 straight games).
