2011 (Senior): Appeared
in 13 games, starting six on the mound ... Posted a 2-4 record and a 6.22 ERA ...
Struck out 33 batters in 46.1 innings pitched ... Fired a complete game against
Dayton in the A-10 tournament for his second win of the season ... Allowed just
three runs while striking out a season-high six batters.
2010 (Redshirt Junior): Emerged as one of the leading weekend starters
in the A-10 over the second half of the season as he was 5-0 with a 3.96 ERA
over his final seven starts... Was Richmond's workhorse on the mound with
team-highs in innings pitched (80.2), starts (13) and strikeouts (74)... Won
three-consecutive A-10 starts (George Washington, Temple, Saint Joseph's) and
four-consecutive appearances overall when you include a win in relief against
Longwood... Had no-decisions in his final three A-10 starts, which were a 6-5
loss at Duquesne, a 4-3 win at Rhode Island and a 5-4 loss to Charlotte... Went
a career-best 8.0 innings versus Duquesne with a then-career-high 11
strikeouts... Set a new career-high a week later with 13 K's over seven innings
at URI... Also recorded nine-strikeout games versus George Washington and
Charlotte... Allowed three runs with four K's and no walks over six innings to
pick up a 10-5 win at UMass... Scattered eight hits over seven innings and
allowed just two runs with nine punchouts in the 7-6 win over GW.
2009 (Junior): Missed the entire
season with a shoulder injury and earned a medical redshirt.
2008 (Sophomore): Saw action in
15 games and made four starts for the Spiders... Picked up his first win of the
season with 3.2 inning of relief work against Charleston Southern on March
16... Fanned a season-high three in four strong, shutout, no-hit innings out of
the bullpen versus Norfolk State on May 6... Was credited the win in the 7-6
NSU victory.
2007 (Freshman): Made 18
appearances and started in eight games ... Fanned a career-high four Old
Dominion batters in 6.2 innings to pick up his first collegiate win... Pitched
three shutout innings and allowed just one hit in a 4-0 loss to No. 11 Wichita State...
Went three scoreless innings against Temple with three strikeouts to pick up
his first collegiate save.
High School: Was a two-year
letterwinner in baseball at Rockingham County... Was a three-time Piedmont
Triad 3A All-Conference selection... Was 6-4 as a senior with a 2.61 ERA and
struck out 89 in 75 innings... Finished his junior season with a 7-3 mark and
an ERA of 3.13... Named the American Legion Post 254 Pitcher of the Year in
2005 and in 2006... Was a two-time All-Conference honoree as both a junior and
senior... Played on the North Carolina Baseball Academy Prospect Team in the
fall of 2005.
