Four-year varsity starter for the Myers Park High Field Hockey program that collected North Carolina State titles in 2020, 2021 and 2022 with a runner-up finish in 2019.
Collected 2022 First Team All-State and 2021 Second Team All-State honors
Named First Team All-Conference in 2021 and 2022
Named to the NFHCA High School Academic Squad in 2021 and 2022
Picked up 2022 Charlotte All-Observer Team and 2022 All-South Region Player honors
Helped the Myers Park High program to a 21-0-1 record in 2022, finishing undefeated at the Max Field Hockey HS Invitational and end-of-season No. 10 Mid-Atlantic Region ranking
An eight-year Charlotte Ambush Elite Player and Starter, served as team captain for three seasons, Festival Gold Medalist Pool B in 2022, Indoor Festival Gold Medalist Pool A and Festival All-Start List in 2021
Also competed with the Myers Park High School Varsity Indoor and Outdoor Track Program in 2021 and 2022, collecting personal marks of 2:44.92 in the 800m and 6:10.83 in the 1600m, as well as the Swimming program in 2019

Personal:

Daughter of Julie Valbuena and younger sister of Jack and Finn
Julie played women's lacrosse at Guilford College (1990-93) where she ranks in the top-10 in career points (167), career goals (136) and top-15 in career assists (31). In 1993, she scored a program high 48 goals.
