Adkins was a part of Richmond's six-win improvement in 2019-20 and saw the Spiders earn a postseason win in the Atlantic 10 Championship first round.
Adkins came to Richmond after spending two seasons as the manager of basketball operations for Buckell women’s basketball. In her second season with Bucknell, the team won their second Patriot League tournament title and earned a trip to the NCAA Tournament with a school-record 28 wins. The Bison finished 28-6 after a close loss in the NCAA Tournament in the first round against fifth-seeded Florida State. In her first season with the Bison, the team earned an automatic bid to the WNIT while going 22-10 overall and 15-3 in the Patriot League.
Adkins joined the Bucknell staff after spending one season as the director of basketball operations at Furman. She worked with a Paladins team that finished in a tie for fourth in the Southern Conference.
Prior to Furman, Adkins worked integral roles for a highly successful Maryland team for five seasons, working as a student manager and then an intern for the director of operations following her graduation. During that time, the Terrapins won an ACC title, a Big Ten regular season title, a Big Ten Tournament title, and appeared in the NCAA Final Four twice. Adkins earned a bachelor’s degree in family science from Maryland in 2016. In addition to her work with women’s basketball, she has spent time as the assistant director for the Magnolia Elementary Playground Camp and as an intern teach assistant at St. Jerome Child Center.
