Lafond joined the Richmond men's basketball coaching staff in August 2024. As video coordinator, he manages all aspects of the team's video operations while also contributing to opponent scouting, player recruitment, and team camps.
Prior to Richmond, Lafond worked as an assistant in the Basketball Operations office of the Detroit Pistons and also spent two years as a graduate assistant at La Salle University, his alma mater.
Lafond played for La Salle as an undergraduate student from 2018 to 2022, appearing in 16 games over that span and being named to the Atlantic 10 Commissioner's Honor Roll twice. After earning his Bachelor's Degree in Accounting during his playing career, Lafond completed his Master's of Business Administration while serving as a grad assistant.
Lafond prepped at Archbishop Wood in Warminster, Pa., where he helped the team a Philadelphia Catholic League championship and state title as a junior.
