Lynch Named Richmond's Director of Golf Operations

Univeristy of Richmod, Va. - The University of Richmond has tabbed Kevin Lynch as its Director of Golf Operations. He will oversee the men's program and will build the women's program.
Lynch is currently in his third year as assistant coach for the men's and women's golf teams at Northwestern University. The men's squad is currently ranked 14th in the nation and includes 1999 NCAA Champion and Player of the Year Luke Donald, a two-time All-American. The women's team is currently ranked 20th in the country.
A 1997 graduate of Northwestern, Lynch earned a Bachelor of Science degree in communication studies with a minor in business institutions. He was a four-year letter winner on the golf team and was a co-captain during his senior season. Lynch helped lead the Wildcats to a seventh place NCAA finish in 1997.
Following graduation, Lynch played professionally for eighteen months on various tours in the United States, Europe and South America.
Lynch replaces Nat Withers, who is retiring after serving as Richmond's men's golf coach for 24 seasons.
