DAYTON, Ohio (AP) - Keith Waleskowski scored 17 points and grabbed a game-high and career-high 19 rebounds to lead Dayton to a 68-52 victory over Richmond Saturday night.
The game was tied at 13 with 8:26 left in the first half, when Dayton (11-4, 3-1 Atlantic 10) went on a 12-0 run, ending at the 3:48 mark with a score of 25-13.
By halftime, Dayton led 27-19 and never looked back. It was the seventh time this year that Dayton has held an opponent to under 20 points in the first half.
The Flyers' biggest lead of the game was 22 points, when D. J. Stelly made a layup to put Dayton ahead 64-42.
Brooks Hall added 11 points for Dayton, and David Morris scored 10. Morris also led the game in assists with 10. It was his third consecutive game of 10 or more assists.
Mike Skrocki led scoring for Richmond with 18 points. He was the only Richmond player in double figures. Skrocki also led the game in 3-pointers, shooting 4-for-11.
Dayton led Richmond in rebounds 52-29. The Flyers also made 43 percent of
their field goals, compared to 36 percent by Richmond.
The Spiders go back out on the road Wednesday night for their first Atlantic 10 game in Philadelphia, visiting Temple in a 7:30 contest.
