Women's Tennis Competes at Maryland Invitational

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The Richmond women's tennis team competed in their second fall event as they participated in the Maryland Invitational. The event was held on the University of Maryland campus from September 27-29. The Spiders won 12 singles matches and five doubles matches during the three-day tournament. Other colleges participating included Syracuse, American, West Virginia, Cornell, Penn State and George Washington.
Senior Vanessa Bagnato (Manhasset, NY) and freshman Katie Karhohs (East Grand Rapids, Mich.) both recorded three singles wins in their respective flight matches.
Karhohs paired with senior Casey Cohen (Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.) to place third in the Flight B doubles bracket.
Richmond returns to the court when they travel to Riviera Club, California to compete in the All-American Championships from October 9-14.
