Skrocki Named to A-10 Third Team

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. -- University of Richmond sophomore forward Mike Skrocki (Howell, N.J./Christian Brothers) has been selected the Atlantic 10 All-Conference third team as voted on among the conference's head coaches.
Skrocki was also named to the All-Academic Team. Joining him on the academic squad, were senior guard Scott Ungerer (Syracuse, N.Y./Westhill) and sophomore forward Tony Dobbins (Mitchellville, Md./Maret School). In addition, Dobbins was named to the All-Defensive Team.
Skrocki, a 6-6 sophomore, is one of only two Spiders to start every contest this season for Richmond. Skrocki is averaging 12.9 points a game and a decisive 16.0 a contest in conference games (16). He was named the A-10 player of the week on January 27, that following his career-best 25 point performance in Richmond's 75-68 win at Temple. In that contest, the sharpshooter nailed a career-high seven three-pointers. He has connected on a team-high 63 triples this season. In the classroom, Skrocki maintains a 3.03 grade point average.
Dobbins leads the team in rebounds (5.9) and steals (2.3) per game. The sophomore transfer has complied 65 steals in Richmond's 29 games this season. He has scored in double digits on 15 occasions and has led the team on the boards in 12 games. Dobbins, a Rhetoric and Communications studies major, carries a GPA of 3.21.
Ungerer, a 6-9 utility man, has started more consecutive contests (87) than any player in a decade. He leads the team in assists for the third straight season (4.1 apg) and is second in rebounding (5.8 rpg). Ranked second on UR's all-time assist list with 450, Ungerer has left an indelible mark on the program. He is the only player in program history to score more than 400 points (725), record more than 400 assists and grab more than 400 rebounds in a career. A Biology major, Ungerer boasts a GPA of 3.45.
