Women's Tennis Opens Fall Season

WILLIAMSBURG, VA. - In their fall season debut, the Richmond women's tennis team traveled to Williamsburg, Va. to compete in the 10th Annual William & Mary Invitational. The Spiders won 10 singles matches and 4 doubles matches during the three day event.
Richmond freshman Katie Karhohs (East Grand Rapids, Mich.) had a strong showing in her first collegiate appearance. Karohs placed fourth in the "Gold" singles flight after falling to Aimee Smith (WF), 6-3, 6-2.
Senior Casey Cohen (Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.) and sophomore Courtney Klein (East Amherst, N.Y.) each finished with a 2-1 doubles record in the event.
The Spiders return to the court next weekend as they travel to compete in the Maryland Invitational.
