Women's Tennis Continues Fall Schedule

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - The University of Richmond women's tennis team continued its fall schedule this past weekend when they competed at the Old Point National Bank ITA Invitational in Newport News. The event was held on the Old Dominion University campus from October 17 - 19. The Spiders brought home 15 singles and six doubles victories.
Freshman Beatrice Grasu competed in the top singles flight and lost in the finals to #22 Nataly Cahana from ODU. Freshman Robin Carter remains undefeated in singles action as she swept the Flight B singles bracket. In doubles action, freshman Emily Applegate and senior Patty Devlin lost in the finals round of the Flight B doubles bracket to Katerina Jiskrova and Alena Mitackova from Hampton University.
