Baseball's Tuesday Season-Opener Cancelled

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. - Richmond's season-opening baseball game at home verses George Mason University on Tuesday, February 18 has been cancelled due to inclement weather conditions. A make-up date has not been established at this time.
The Spiders will open the 2003 campaign on the road, at the Charleston Crab House Challenge Friday, February 21 through Sunday, February 23. Richmond will face Drexel in the opening round at 1:30 p.m. on Friday. The Wolfpack of N.C. State and the Spiders take the field in the second day of action at 1:30 Saturday. To finish out the tournament, Richmond will battle Kentucky in the early game, 10:00 a.m. on Sunday.
Richmond returns home for a three-game series with Cleveland State beginning Friday, February 28 after a mid-week trip to face North Carolina.
