Men's Tennis Competes in VCU 4-1 Invitational

Richmond, Va. - The University of Richmond men's tennis team competed in the VCU 4-1 Invitational in Richmond, Va. this weekend. The Spiders fell to #14 VCU, 5-0, on Saturday and were defeated by Norfolk State, 3-2, and East Tennessee, 4-1, on Sunday.
In Sunday's competitions, juniors Derek Schwandt and Matthew Cabana recorded wins in singles competition against Norfolk State. In doubles action, junior Jeppy Moss and senior David Donn defeated East Tennessee's Fernando Fuiri and Felix Insurraulde, 6-3, 3-6, 6-8.
The Spiders (1-4) are back in action on Friday, February 6 at 8 p.m. when they travel to Norfolk, Va. to face Old Dominion.
