Richmond tallied one more goal with six minutes remaining in the first half on a penalty corner. Senior Laura Hur used a pass from freshman Erin Arthur to score her first goal of the season.
Richmond's success in the first half was due in part to its offensive dominance. The Spiders outshot the Owls 12-1 and junior goalkeeper Michelle Swartz did not face one shot on goal. Richmond also had six corners in the first compared to zero for Temple.
The Spiders carried their dominance over into the second half, but did not convert until the 58:07 mark. Senior Danica Haupt scored her first goal of the season when she received a pass from Cram on a penalty corner.
