Men's Tennis Defeats Elon 4-3

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. - The University of Richmond men's tennis team defeated Elon 4-3 this afternoon. The Spiders (6-12) lost the doubles point but won four of six singles matches.
After losing the doubles point, Richmond won only one of the first three singles matches with David Donn's victory at the top spot. Down 3-1, the Spiders came back in all three matches.
"This is the best come-from-behind win that I have seen in my 14 years at Richmond," head coach Steve Gerstenfeld commented.
At the #4 position, Jeppy Moss was down one set and 5-3 in the second before he turned it up a notch, winning a second set tie-breaker and the third set 6-0.
At #5, Eric Hage was down 4-2 in third set before he won the final four games to clinch his match. At #6, Matt Stillwagon came back from one set down to win convincingly in three sets.
The Spiders are back in action on Friday, March 26 when they face East Carolina at 3:00 p.m.
