Baseball Set To Face Liberty

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. - The University of Richmond baseball team is prepared for a rematch against Liberty University scheduled for Wednesday afternoon at 2 p.m in Lynchburg, Va. The team's first meeting this season took place at Pitt Field and ended in favor of the Flames, 11-5.
In the first meeting, Carlos Garcia ripped two home runs and tallied four RBI for the Flames and Bobby LeNoir lead UR with two hits and one RBI.
The Spiders (25-19, 12-6 A-10) lead the all-time series against the Flames (20-25, 5-13, Big South) 22-12 and have only lost four times in the last 15 meetings.
Left-hander Nathan Kuchta will start on the hill for the Spiders, however it will be an all-staff day for both teams. Kuchta has made a career-high 17 appearances on the mound and posts a 5-2 record.
Liberty is lead by Jeremiah Boles with a .389 batting average including a team-high 70 hits and six home runs. The Flames have lost eight of their last ten contests and will take-on Old Dominion this evening before hosting the Spiders on Wednesday.
