Men's Tennis Earns Atlantic 10 Recognition

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. - University of Richmond senior Jeppy Moss (Fredericksburg, Va.) and freshman Doug Banker (Greenwich, Conn.) were honored as this week's Atlantic 10 Men's Tennis Performer and Rookie of Week, respectively, as announced today by the league.
Moss, with her first weekly honor of the year, posted a 4-0 record on the week, going 2-0 at third singles and 2-0 at second doubles. His singles' victories included a 6-2, 6-2 win over Liberty on March 23 and a 6-1, 6-1 win over Navy on March 26. In the 4-1 team win over Navy, Moss had an 8-2 doubles win and in the 4-3 triumph over Liberty, he again teamed with Bobby McNally for a 9-8 doubles win.
Banker earned his second weekly award after posting a perfect mark on the week with a pair of fourth singles and third doubles wins. He recorded a 6-2, 7-5 singles win against Liberty, as well as an 8-5 doubles victory. Three days later, he registered a 6-0, 6-2 singles win and an 8-6 doubles win in the Spiders' win over Navy.
Richmond faces Georgetown on Wednesday, March 30 in Washington, D.C.
