Men's Tennis Tops The Citadel, 4-2

CHARLESTON, S.C. - The University of Richmond men's tennis team came out with a 4-2 win over The Citadel on Thursday afternoon in Charleston, S.C. Bobby McNally led the Spiders with a win at No. 2 singles helping Richmond improve to 7-9 overall.
McNally earned his win at No. 2 after rolling over Ananda Sawmynaden, 6-1, 6-1, while Samie Belakhlef fought hard for a win at No. 4 over David Lara (6-4, 7-5). Richmond's Brett Waikart then defeated Nick Medica at No. 5 and Michael Sommer rounded out the Spiders' winning ways with a victory at No. 6 over Martin King. Richmond's Doug Banker and Matt Stillwagon, although playing well for the Spiders, were unable to come out with wins in singles play.
No doubles matches were played and the Spiders ended the match with a 4-2 advantage.
