CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - The University of Richmond women's tennis team was edged 4-3 by No. 2 University of North Carolina on Saturday morning in Chapel Hill. Robin Carter, Ashlee Vosters each notched in singles wins in the Spiders' first loss in five matches, dropping them to 5-6 overall.
Richmond head coach Mark Wesselink was proud of his team's performance against a Top 3 team. "We showed that we can play with anyone and I was impressed with our play against a strong opponent," stated Wesselink. "Robin (Carter) was especially solid, as was Ashlee (Vosters)."
