
Schneider Earns A-10 Women's Tennis Honors

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. - University of Richmond's Xenia Schneider earned Atlantic 10 women's tennis honors following extremely solid performances in the Spiders' two matches this past weekend. Schneider, a freshman from Germany, was named the Rookie of the Week after sweeping both of her singles matches, as well as her lone doubles match, leading the Spiders' to two more wins.
Schneider went 2-0 at fifth singles and 1-0 at third doubles this past week and did not lose a game in sweeping James Madison and Bucknell in singles play as she improved to 8-4 in singles competition this season. She also earned her first doubles win of the year with an 8-3 victory against JMU.
Schneider joined the Spiders from Saddlebrook Preparatory School in Germany. She ranked 194 in Germany for Juniors, 295th in the country for women's Under 21, and 443rd in the country for women's division.
