Men's Tennis Tops Drexel, 3-2

RICHMOND, Va. - After losses to Campbell and No. 14 VCU in the opening day of the spring season, the Richmond men's tennis team topped Drexel 3-2 in the second day's action of the VCU 4x1 Invitational.
While Bobby McNally and Sami Belakhlef fell at No. 1 and 2 singles, respectively, both Michael Sommer and Matt Farina came up with wins for the Spiders. Sommer defeated Ayusha Wadhwah at third singles and Farina followed with a victory over Jarrod Popovice at fourth singles.
In doubles action, David Berry and William Minter secured the victory for the Spiders, topping the Clare/Travin duo.
The Spiders will resume tournament action on Sunday.
