
Spiders Perfect In Doubles; Duran And Tidwell Advance In Singles At Deacon Classic

2007 Deacon Classic Tournament Central
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Richmond junior Pamela Duran and freshman Kelly Tidwell both won their singles matches and were part of victorious doubles teams on the first day of the 2007 Deacon Classic, hosted Friday by Wake Forest.
The tournament continues on Saturday and Sunday.
Duran won her match in flight one singles 6-3, 6-2 over Davidson's Kelsey Linville. She also teamed up with junior Ashlee Vosters to win 8-1 at flight one doubles.
Tidwell won 6-4, 4-7, 7-5 at flight three singles over Davidson's Teresa Wang and teamed with junior Xenia Schneider to win 8-6 at flight one doubles.
Richmond freshman Emese Kardhordo and Isabel Arana won 8-5 at flight two doubles as the Spiders went a perfect 3-0 in doubles.
