Former Basketball Standout Blair Will Be Rookie NBA Ref In 2008-09

Curtis Blair made the NBA this season.

At 37, he may be a step slow to play, but the former University of Richmond guard recently was invited to join the staff of the NBA officials. Blair said he is scheduled to work approximately 60 games in 2008-09 as a rookie.

Blair, a Mechanicsville resident who came to UR from Roanoke, has officiated NBA Developmental League games for the past six seasons.
