Hines, Sieben Honored Again By Atlantic 10

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND - University of Richmond swimmers Katie Sieben and Lauren Hines repeated as the Atlantic 10 Performer and Rookie of the Week this week after each contributed six wins as the Spiders swept three teams last weekend in Baltimore.
Sieben, a senior from Seymour, Conn., contributed six wins to the Spiders cause as the team swept a weekend quad meet from Loyola (Md.), St. Francis (Pa.) and Johns Hopkins in Baltimore. She was part of the winning 400 medley relay (3:52.90), 200 free relay (1:37.28), 200 medley relay (1:45.56), 400 free relay (3:38.13), won the 50 free (24.41) and the 100 fly (56.11). The senior also took second in the 100 free (53.19).
Sieben was also honored as the Performer of the Week last week and has now earned eighth A-10 weekly honors in her career, including six Performer of the Week awards.
Hines also posted six wins in the Spiders weekend sweep as the rookie was part of the winning 400 medley relay (3:52.90), 800 free relay (7:47.65), 200 medley relay (1:45.56), 200 free relay (1:37.28), won the 100 back (57.23), 200 back (2:04.81). She also took eighth in the 100 fly (1:01.24).
The honor is the third-consecutive this season for the Roanoke, Va. native.
Hines and Sieben played key roles as Richmond beat Loyola 240-123, downed St. Francis 232-95 and rolled past Johns Hopkins 239-92.
The Spiders return to action Nov. 19-21 at the Terrapin Cup.
