UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. -
Women's tennis head coach Pamela Duran earned a spot on the VaSID All-State second team. Wesselink guided Richmond to a 17-6 mark and its sixth Atlantic 10 Championship this past season.
Wesselink was also named A-10 Coach of the Year for the fifth time after the Spiders captured their sixth A-10 crown in eight seasons. Richmond went undefeated in the Atlantic 10 Tournament and earned the program's eighth bid to the NCAA Championships.
Duran earned VaSID honors for the third straight year. Duran led Richmond at No. 1 singles with a 19-9 record and was a two-time Atlantic 10 Most Outstanding Performer. Duran also was a four-time Atlantic 10 All Conference first team selection.
Richmond welcomes newcomers Sydney Grant and Alexandra Smyth to this year's squad. The Spiders open their fall schedule at the William & Mary Invitational in September.
