Women's Tennis Participates In William & Mary Invitational

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. -
The Richmond women's tennis team participated in William & Mary Invitational in Williamsburg, Va. this past weekend. The doubles tandem of senior Erin Clark and Helen Cunningham recorded a victory in Flight A doubles on day one of competition.
"Our No. 1 doubles pair of Clark and Cunningham were impressive this weekend," said head coach Mark Wesselink. "We showed lots of potential with our play. We played a lot of tennis and got a bunch of experience. We're looking forward to going to Wake Forest in a couple of weeks."
No. 2 doubles Catherine Crystal and Isabel Arana def. Riley Blanks of Virginia and Oksana Krutiyenko of Maryland 8-6 in Flight B of day one of competition.
The Spiders continue their fall schedule at the Wake Forest Invitational on Sept. 25th.
