UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND - Freshman swimmer Lauren Hines earned her fourth Atlantic 10 weekly honor of the season as she was named the Rookie of the Week. Hines won the 100 back and scored points in all four events she entered in the Spiders' dual meet Friday versus William & Mary.
The rookie from Roanoke, Va. won the 100 back (57.71), was third in the 50 free (24.30), third in the 200 back (2:08.04) and part of the second-place 400 free relay (3:32.80) as the Spiders dropped Friday's meet vs. the Tribe, 171-109.
Hines owns Richmond's fastest time this season in the 100 back, being clocked at 56.52 at the Terrapin Cup in November - that stands as the second-fastest time in the A-10 season.
Richmond returns to action this weekend at Rutgers in the annual Swimming World Magazine Conference Carnival. A live video stream of the event Friday and Saturday will be available at RichmondSpiders.com.
