UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND - The Richmond women's swimming and diving team returns to the pool Friday evening, battling William & Mary at 5 p.m. in Williamsburg. The Spiders are 3-2 and have won three-consecutive dual meets.
Richmond is coming off a pair of wins last weekend over James Madison and Duquesne in Harrisonsburg. Junior Charlotte Brackett won three individual events, anchored both the winning 400 medley and 400 free relays and was named the A-10 Performer of the Week for her efforts.
The Spiders trailed JMU by a point heading into the meet's final event, before Brackett brought home the 400 free relay in a winning time of 3:30.48. She also took the 200 free (1:54.30), the 50 free (24.15) and the 100 free (52.78) for the Spiders.
Both her times in the 100 and 200 free are the second-fastest in the Atlantic 10 this season behind teammate Lauren Hines.
The Tribe is 2-1 on the season after beating Mary Washington and Howsrd last weekend. Leading the way for the Tribe in that meet was Gabrielle Mizerak, who won both the 100 back (1:00.47) and the 100 fly (59.39).
