Three Spiders Earn Women's Tennis All Conference Honors

Senior Erin Clark was tabbed the A-10 Student-Athlete of the Year for the second consecutive year, while also being an All-Conference first team selection for the third straight time. Kelly Tidwell joined Clark with first team honors, while freshman Sydney Grant garnered second-team accolades.
Clark, a 3.96 English and French double major, earned her second consecutive Student-Athlete of the Year honor. Clark also garnered All Conference first team honors for the third straight year. Clark leads the Spiders at No. 1 singles and was named A-10 Player of the Week after downing #73 Martha Blakely of Virginia Tech. Clark went 1-1 at No. 1 singles and 3-0 at No. 1 doubles en route to Richmond's second-straight and program seventh A-10 crown.
Tidwell joined Clark on the All Conference first team after recording a team-best 10 wins at No. 2 singles. Tidwell earned first team honors for the second straight year after going 3-0 at No. 2 singles and 1-1 at No. 2 doubles in the A-10 Tournament.
Freshman Sydney Grant posted strong numbers and earned second-team accolades after recording a 9-5 record at No. 4 singles. Grant closed out the regular season with a three-game win streak.
The Spiders return to the NCAA Championships for the second consecutive year and ninth trip overall. Richmond will battle No. 2 seed North Carolina at 1:00 p.m. on May 14th in Chapel Hill.
