UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND - For final time this season, the Richmond swimming and diving team is home to host James Madison Saturday at the Robins Center Natatorium at 4 p.m., capping off an eventful day on campus. Earlier in day, the Spiders host their annual alumni meet.
Live video coverage of the meet is available free of charge on SpiderTV beginning at 3:55 p.m. with the Senior Day ceremony.
Three seniors will be honored in a pre-meet ceremony - Chrissy Brodt, Natalie Lewis and Nicole LePere - who will swim their final career home meet.
The Spiders are looking to gain some momentum, as this meet serves as their final tune-up before the Atlantic 10 Championship in late February. Richmond, which has claimed a league-record eight A-10 titles, is looking for redemption after being denied from title No. 9 by Fordham last season.
The A-10 Championship runs from February 23-26 in Buffalo, N.Y.
Last weekend, in their first competitive action in over two months, Richmond was downed by Virginia Tech in Blacksburg. Sophomore Lauren Hines scored a pair of individual event wins for Richmond, taking the 100 back in a season-best time of 55.31 and claiming the 100 free in 52.02.
