Spiders Host No. 7 Virginia Wednesday At Robins Stadium

The Richmond women's lacrosse team hosts No. 7 Virginia Wednesday at 5:00 p.m. at Robins Stadium.
Last Time Out: The Spiders cut the lead to 7-5 with third-ranked North Carolina but ultimately fell 14-8 in Chapel Hill Sunday. Mary Flowers led Richmond with three goals, while Kara Moschetti followed with two. The Spiders dropped a 20-12 decision to No. 4 Duke Friday. Sam Stevenson scored a team-high four goals.
Scouting Richmond: Flowers leads every statistical category for the Spiders: goals (7), assists (2), points (9), ground balls (13), draw controls (5) and caused turnovers (4). Richmond plays six opponents ranked in the top-20 in its challenging non-conference slate, with three of those foes ranked in the top-5.
Scouting Virginia: The seventh-ranked Cavaliers dropped a 15-8 decision to No. 12 Loyola over the weekend. Charlie Finnigan, Ainsley Baker and Julie Gardner all had two goals apiece.
Last Time Vs. The `Hoos: Virginia downed Richmond 17-8 last February in Charlottesville. Flowers led Richmond with four goals.
Up Next: Richmond travels to William & Mary for a 1:00 p.m. game Sunday.
