Men's Tennis Set For Atlantic 10 Tournament

The Spiders received the seventh seed in this week's 2011 Atlantic 10 Tournament and will square off against No. 10 Saint Louis 11:00 a.m. Friday in the first round at the Dwight Davis Center in Saint Louis, Mo.
Richmond is 6-12 overall and had a 1-3 mark in A-10 play. The Spiders are most recently coming off a 7-0 victory over Morgan State.
The Spiders posted a 5-2 victory over Saint Joe's Feb. 12 for their first conference win of the season and posted back-to-back victories over Norfolk State and George Mason in Feb.
The seeds for the Championship are George Washington (first), Xavier, (second), Temple (third), Duquesne (fourth), St. Bonaventure (fifth), Charlotte (sixth), Richmond (seventh), Saint Joseph's (eight), Dayton (ninth), Saint Louis (10th), La Salle (11th) and Fordham (12th).
Competition begins on Friday, April 15, at 8:00am, with the final match of the day set to start at 5:00pm. On Saturday, April 16, play begins at 8:00am with the final match slated for 2:00 pm. The fifth-place and seventh place matches of the Atlantic 10 Men's Tennis Championship will commence on Sunday, April 17, at 8:00am. The third place and title matches close out the event at 11:00am.
