
Spiders Top City-Rival VCU

Senior Katelin Peterson scored a goal and had an assist as Richmond defeated city-rival VCU on Friday at Cary Street Field in The Fan.
Peterson assisted on the Spiders first goal in the 26th minute when sophomore Jessica Hollis scored her fourth-career goal.
VCU tied the game just 37 seconds later, but the Spiders took control of play in the second half and Peterson notched the game winner with 15:08 remaining. Freshman Blair Kline had the assist.
With four points this season, Peterson moved into eight on Richmond's all-time points list with 82. She also moved into sole possession of eighth on Richmond's all-time goals list.
The Richmond senior class improved to 3-1 against VCU.
The Spiders (2-2) play at Princeton on Sunday.
