Men's Tennis Opens At Elon Invitational Tournament

The Richmond men's tennis team opened play at the Elon Fall Invitational Tournament on Friday.
Redshirt sophomore Ethan Dunbar (Medinia, Ohio / Cloverleaf) fell to East Carolina's Joran Vliegen 6-1 and 6-3. Senior Sebastian Fauchet (Rochester, N.Y./Harley School) fell to Old Dominion's Wesley Barret 6-4 and 6-0. Freshman Will Welte (Kansas City, Mo./ Pembroke Hill) fell to East Carolina's Patriek Wolterbek 7-6 and 6-4.
Paul Nahon III (Springfield, Mo./ Glendale High School) earned the Spiders lone single win with a 6-4 and 6-2 victory East Carolina's Mario Martinez.
In double's action Ethan Dunbar and Sebastain Fauchet defeated Elon's Kaufman and Sablik 8-5. Will Welte and Paul Nahon blanked Wintrhop's Altieri and O'Brien 8-0 .
The tournament continues through Sunday Sept. 23.
