
Richmond Wins On The Road At Northeastern

BOSTON, Mass. – Senior Cedrick Lindsay led three Spiders in double-figures as Richmond won at Northeastern on Tuesday afternoon, 70-66.
Lindsay led the way for the Spiders (10-4) with 18 on the day, hitting a pair of clutch shots late in the game. Junior Kendall Anthony added 15 points on 6-of-10 shooting, while senior Derrick Williams had 10 of his 12 points in the first half.
Richmond seized control of the game early thanks to a blistering shooting display in the first half. The Spiders shot 58 percent (15-of-26) in the first 20 minutes, taking a 40-28 lead at halftime.
After Richmond controlled the game for the majority of the second half, the Huskies made a late charge, tying the game at 64-64. Led by Lindsay, the Spiders held off the late rally as the senior point guard hit a pair of clutch runners in the final minute to secure the win.
Richmond shot a season-high 55.1 percent (27-of-49) from the floor in the victory, hitting 9-of-16 (56.3 percent) of its 3-pointers on the day.
Richmond will head south to wrap-up the non-conference schedule at No. 12 ranked Florida on Saturday at 3 p.m. The game will be available live on ESPN3.
