UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. – The No. 21/21 University of Richmond Spiders football team will travel east down I-64 to face in-state rival No. 19/23 William & Mary on Saturday for the Capital Cup.
The contest will mark the 124th meeting between the Spiders and the Tribe in "The Oldest Rivalry in the South". William & Mary leads the all-time series dating back to 1898, 61-57-5, but Richmond has won the last two games and seven of the past nine contests.

“The Oldest Rivalry in the South”
Saturday's game between the Tribe and the Spiders will mark the 124th meeting between the two in-state rivals. The series, which began in the 1898 season, is led by W&M, 61-57-5. Richmond has had the better run of the series of late, winning seven of the last nine contests.
Dynamic Duo
Richmond's WR duo of Reggie Diggs and Brian Brown rank second and third in the CAA this season in receiving yards. Diggs is second in the league with 832, while Brown is right behind him with 817. Diggs is third in the CAA in receptions with 62, while Brown is fourth with 60.
Rocco's Impressive Record in November
In his nine seasons as a head coach, the Spiders' Danny Rocco has posted a record of 22-6 in the month of November. At Richmond, Rocco is 8-2 in the month, including a perfect 4-0 mark in 2013.
Kelly Climbs the All-Time Sack List
DL Evan Kelly is just 0.5 sacks away from cracking the career sack list at Richmond. With his 5.0 sacks this season, Kelly sits at 16.0 for his career – just 0.5 away from 10th place Josh Spraker.
