Richmond Drops Road Game At VMI, 4-2

LEXINGTON, Va. – The University of Richmond Spiders baseball team fell on the road at VMI on Wednesday night, 4-2.
With the loss, Richmond falls to 14-16-1 on the season overall, while VMI improves to 17-13 on the year.
Sophomore OF Tanner Stanley led the way for Richmond, going 3-for-4 with a double and a RBI. Classmate Doug Kraeger had a pair of hits, including a double, and also drove in a run.
The Richmond Spiders are back in action this Friday when the team begins a three-game, Atlantic 10 series with cross-town rival VCU. First pitch at Pitt Field is scheduled for 3 p.m.
