Three Spiders Go Undefeated At ECU Shootout

GREENVILLE, N.C. – Noah Fenton, Caleb Troy and Stathi Kyriakides of the Richmond men's tennis team went undefeated this past weekend at the ECU Shootout. Each of the three Spiders picked up three singles wins throughout the three-day event.
Competition kicked off Friday and ended Sunday with opponents from the Pirates, UNC Greensboro, James Madison and Coastal Carolina. Fenton picked up Richmond's first win of the day over UNCG.
Fenton picked up wins over UNC Greensboro, James Madison and Coastal Carolina, while Troy recorded victories over the same squads in his first competition as a Spider. Kyriakides defeated UNCG twice and took one away from the Dukes.
Singles play on Saturday was flawless for the Spiders. All seven Spider competitors went undefeated.
In doubles play, freshman James Aronson partnered with Fenton and went 2-0 on the weekend. Jonathan Quenard and Canyon Teague also picked up a victory for the Spiders.
Richmond will be back in action next weekend when they travel to Charlotte, N.C., Friday, Sept. 19 for a three-day event.
