Men's Tennis Wins Pair Of Weekend Matches At Home

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. — The men's tennis team played a pair of home matches over the weekend, winning the first against Atlantic 10 rival Davidson, 6-1 Saturday. The Spiders followed up with a second win against UMBC, 4-2 Sunday afternoon. The men played Saturday's match at Country Club of Virginia (CCV) and Sunday's match at Westhampton Tennis Complex on campus.
"It was a great weekend for us," said head coach Ben Johnson. "We beat two very good teams. The consistent work is paying off and we continue to show improvements. Most importantly the team chemistry is outstanding. We truly are playing for each other and I could not be more pleased. I want to thank everyone that came out to support us this weekend."
The men will play next Friday April 3 at 1pm again Conneticut in Greenville, N.C.
