Spiders Drop Weekend Matches To ODU And Coastal Carolina

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. – The University of Richmond men's tennis team dropped two tough matches this weekend, falling to in-state foe Old Dominion, 7-0, and Coastal Carolina, 5-2.
Sophomore Caleb Troy highlighted the Spiders' weekend, posting a singles and doubles victory in Saturday's loss to the Chanticleers.
On Friday, Richmond (1-3) battled 60th-ranked ODU, forcing several long singles matches, but ultimately, dropped the 7-0 decision to the Monarchs.
On Saturday, facing Coastal Carolina in a home match, Troy defeated Francesco Migliano, 6-4, 7-6 in singles action, to go along with his doubles win earlier in the match with partner, Brice Polender.
The Spiders are back in action this weekend they travel to Blacksburg to take on Virginia Tech and St. Bonaventure.
